We are pleased to provide you answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.
  • What is a medical claim?

    A bill for healthcare services submitted to your insurer/TPA by a provider or by you for reimbursement.

  • What is a direct claim?

    The provider sends the claim directly to us for payment assessment.

  • What is a reimbursement claim?

    You pay the provider, then submit the claim to us for eligible reimbursement as per your policy.

  • Can I view my claims history?

    Yes. Open Lumi → Claims → View Claims.

  • Can I view my family’s claims history?

    Yes, for dependents under 18. Adults 18+ need their own account.

  • Can I submit a reimbursement claim in Lumi?

    Yes, if enabled for your plan: Lumi → Claims → Submit a Claim.
    If the feature isn’t available, email documents to membercare@nextcarehealth.com.

  • Do I need original documents for a claim?

    Follow your policy terms. We recommend keeping originals for one year in case they’re needed.

  • Can I submit a claim for a family member?

    Yes, for dependents under 18. Members 18+ submit their own claims.

  • How will I receive my reimbursement?

    Choose your preferred method when submitting (if requested). Payment follows your company’s agreed settlement mode.

  • How will I be updated on my claim?

    You’ll receive push notifications and can track status in Lumi → Claims → View Claims.

  • How do I arrange direct settlement for a planned inpatient treatment?

    1. Visit a provider; the physician submits a pre-approval request.
    2. We assess per policy terms.
    3. A decision (approval/rejection) is issued within 24 hours.
    4. Keep an eye on your notifications and your email, we may request for additional documents…
    5. The provider informs you and schedules treatment.
  • How do I submit a reimbursement claim online?

    • Use Lumi (Google Play, Apple App Store, AppGallery):
      • Register/login → Claims → Submit a Claim and follow the steps.
      • You’ll receive an email confirming submission.
    • Alternatively, download the claim form here and email it to Membercare@nextcarehealth.com
  • How do I follow up on a reimbursement claim?

    In Lumi → Claims → View Claims, search for your claim to see status. You can also call the Call Center on your card or use WhatsApp for inquiries.
    If you enable Lumi notifications, you will also receive a push notification upon claim status change

  • How do I submit a complaint?

    In Lumi → Need Help → Inquiry Type: Complaint → Start Chat to speak with our customer service team.
