Teleconsultation

What is Teleconsultation?

A medical consultation and advice is provided through the information and telecommunication technologies (e.g. Mobile App), for best means for dealing with a medical situation. It takes place between a physician and a patient online, in the case when the patient and the physician are not in the same place.

 

Tele-diagnosis:

The Physician will determine the condition of the disease or the medical case of the patient via information and telecommunication technologies (e.g. Mobile App).

 

Tele-prescription of Treatment:

After the tele-diagnosis, the specialized physician would prescribe the treatment, without the clinical examination of the patient, or a situation in which the specialized physician would prescribe treatment remotely based on a diagnosis that has been made using the conventional clinical method.

 

Tele-medical Monitoring:

The Physician or Nurse will obtain the vital signs of the patient to monitor the condition via information and telecommunication technologies. Tele-medical Intervention.

  • Nextcare has been providing tele-consultation and treatments through the Nextcare Application. Kindly download the App. And enjoy the comfort of the tele-consultation.
  • Teleconsultation service will require Pre-approval from Nextcare.
  • It is limited to one consultation per week for the same Physician and specialty. Follow-up teleconsultation within 7 days in the same provider is free, from date of initial tele- consultation till end of the 7th day midnight, similar to the normal follow up consultation protocols in the clinics.
  • Policy exclusion, limits, sub-limits or general exclusion will be applied as routine according to your policy. Teleconsultation for non-covered conditions will be rejected.

 

 

  

 

For Healthcare Providers:

 

 

Recommendations:

  • Teleconsultation service is subject to Pre-approval and limited to one consultation per week for the same specialty.
  • Follow-up teleconsultation within 7 days in the same provider is free, from date of initial tele consultation till end of the 7th day midnight, similar to the normal follow up consultation protocols.
  • Consultations within 7 days from the Teleconsultations should not be billed, and teleconsultation will be free.
  • Policy exclusion, limits, sub-limits or general exclusion will be applied, Teleconsultation for non-covered conditions will be rejected.
