The Front End Development – Team Lead will manage, lead and mentor a team of frontend Software engineers in a rapidly changing, and agile environment as well as managing the development of the features of our products to ensure that the quality of the features meets the standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build system architecture, and direction, identify issues, and implement solutions to complex problems in large-scale front-end Infrastructure with coordination of the other involved teams in the product.
  • Participate in the implementation of new features and send them to the quality team to be reviewed, if needed.
  • Conduct Code reviews to review team members’ outputs to ensure that the quality of the features meets the standards.
  • Follow up with teams’ progress and provides them with mentorship and guidance.
  • Create and enhances work processes and guidelines for team members.
  • Coordinate with other teams and act as a point of contact.
  • Keep up to date and search for the latest technology trends, and conduct learning sessions for the team regarding the new technologies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, and other Team Leaders to plan, nurture, and implement an efficient and effective development process.
  • Author new user-facing features which enhance usability, accessibility and performance.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of user interface and user experience designs.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers in development of new and existing web services and server rendered pages.
  • Collaborate efficiently with back end team to deliver integrated, solid and tested solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst, Digital Marketing Specialist and/or Sr. Front-end Developers on large scale, overarching projects/initiatives as they relate to optimization of digital properties.
  • Build functionality with reusable code and authors new libraries/Components with a focus on future reusability
  • Assists in team “teaching/mentoring” sessions through educating on front-end development concepts, customer service/relationship building or other soft skills to enhance the productivity of the overall team and department.
  • Mentor FE team members in project work.
  • Review other team members’ work as required to ensure timely completion and expected quality.
Profile Key Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience working on a team using Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages and different frameworks (Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, React is a plus).
  • Very good experience in Docker / Kubernetes, deep experience in designing systems and scales.
  • Experience working on a team utilizing GIT for source code management
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • High preference for UAE National candidates with relevant experience.
  • Very good Interpersonal skills, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Very good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills especially for non-technical people.
