The Accountant Officer’s main duties are to prepare EFTs (Electronic fund transfer) for claims, update the accounting and other financial software, and send statement of accounts to our clients. This role has the overall responsibility to coordinate activities in an effective and efficient manner to assist Senior Accountants in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Settles claims (which includes EFT preparation and reconciliation)
  • Uploads payment voucher using the accounting system
  • Provides professional correspondence internally and externally, i.e. members of insurance companies and their client-related claims
  • Resolves accounting discrepancies
  • Assists senior accountant that include settling the network claims and other related work as assigned
  • Records and documents financial transactions
  • Monitors transactions to determine accuracy, completeness and conformance to established policies and internal procedures
  • Keeps track of records and files and provides correct information of record details when required
  • Finds and retrieves information using the system in response to requests from authorized users
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Finance / Accounting or equivalent background preferred
  • Experience in a TPA, Hospitals or Medical Centers is an added advantage
  • Experience with accounting Softwares, such as Peach Tree, is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Capable of perceiving problems as they develop and communicating those to their immediate superior
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus under pressure
  • Ability to comprehend, capture as well as interpret basic customer information
  • Ability to adapt to change, meet the changing demands of the work environment, any delays or other unexpected demands
  • Ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances, instill trust in others besides upholding the values of the organization
  • Strong organizing and planning skills to work independently with efficiency and accuracy
  • High level of discretion in dealing with and handling confidential information
  • Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task
